YATRAN ACHIEVEMENTS!
Yatran Ukrainian Dance Academy
Yatran has enjoyed excellent artistic direction from some of the highest acclaimed professional dancers, ballet masters, and choreographers from Ukraine.
Yatran’s tradition of excellence and love of Ukrainian dance is passed on to future generations, through all levels of dance from Novice to Competitive.
Yatran has performed at festivals, cultural events, private functions (weddings, anniversaries) and Malanka’s (Ukrainian New Year’s Eve).
We also compete at several competitions throughout the year where Yatran has won outstanding awards and honors, as well as scholarships for the students.
With international recognition and travel; these young dancers have performed at the Penticton Peach Festival, Disneyland in the spring of 2007. 2009 our club performed in Orlando, Florida and performed in front of a crowd of over 600 spectators at DISNEY WORLD
This year in 2011 we are pleased to announce that Yatran will be performing in Puerto Vallarta.
Parents and audiences are amazed at the extraordinary skill level of these young dancers, and bring an exuberance to their performance that speaks to Anna and Vasyl Kanevets’ ability to work equally well with young adults, the developing dancer and the young child.
Yatran is committed to teaching Ukrainian traditional dance and is devoted to nurturing the Ukrainian heritage through dance with an experience that is exciting, inspirational, and educational while encouraging interest in Ukrainian dance and culture.
